Posterolateral View. This is the same dissection as is seen in the Posterior View 1. It shows clearly: the position of the third ventricle (its roof with choroid plexus has been removed) between the two thalami; the pineal gland in the midline; the paired superior and inferior colliculi (= roof of midbrain, or quadrigeminal plate); and the vermis (L. worm), the midline part of the cerebellum between the two cerebellar hemispheres.
